With biometric unlock, you can open the Arrow web app on Windows with your face, fingerprint, security key, or PIN code, and on Mac with Touch ID or a security key. The PIN code you use for biometric unlock on Windows is your device's PIN code. You need to install the Arrow Smart Extension in your browser to use biometric unlock.

Having trouble using biometric unlock?
Biometric unlock improves the way passkeys work in Arrow on websites that require an extra user verification step when you log in with a passkey. In this situation, you can use biometric unlock instead of your Master Password during the user verification step.

You can use biometric unlock instead of your Master Password when autofilling payment methods or protected logins in Chrome or Chromium browsers.

After you turn on biometric unlock, you can unlock Arrow using your face, fingerprint, security key, or device PIN code instead of entering your Master Password.
Depending on the method you set up, you'll see a pop-up from your device asking you to look directly into your device's camera, place your fingerprint on the fingerprint scanner, enter your PIN code, or insert and touch your security key.

Why don't I see an option to turn on biometric unlock in the web app?
You won't have a biometric unlock option in Firefox or Safari. You need to use a Chromium browser like Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave instead. You also need to install the Arrow extension in your browser to use biometric unlock.
You can't use biometric unlock if you've turned on 2-factor authentication (2FA) for every time you log in to Arrow or if you have a passwordless Arrow account.

Passwordless login for Arrow
You won't have the option to turn on biometric unlock if you use single sign-on (SSO) to log in to Arrow. SSO means you use your regular work password to access Arrow and other work accounts instead of a Master Password. If you don't know whether you have SSO, ask your plan admin.
