Recent issues with Android Autofill stem from changes by Google that affect many password managers. Google plans to release a fix in an upcoming Chrome update in September. For more info, see the Chromium bug report
Arrow helps you autofill your data online and in the apps on your mobile devices. As long as you've updated to the latest version of Arrow and selected Arrow as your password manager in your Android device settings, you can access and autofill your Arrow data.
Minimum requirements for Android
Update your Android app
Arrow's Autofill on Android is based on a technology developed by Google, and not all web browsers use this technology. Arrow Autofill currently works best in the browser DuckDuckGo. We try to adapt to differences in other browsers, but we can't guarantee Autofill will always work in all browsers.

Turn on Autofill for devices using Android 10
If you have Android 10, Arrow uses your device's built-in autofill. For some apps, Arrow can even autofill the 2FA codes you receive by SMS.
- Log in to Arrow on Android
- Go to Settings and then General.
- In the Autofill section, select Autofill.
- You're redirected to your device's system settings to select your autofill service. Select Arrow.
- Select Arrow to autofill in Google Chrome or Brave if you have a recent version of the chosen browser
Select Arrow to autofill your data in Chrome and Brave
You can have Arrow autofill in Chrome, Brave, or both. You can also switch which browser you use anytime.
Chrome
If you use Chrome, you need to take an extra step to use Arrow for autofill on Chrome.
How do I know what version of Chrome I have?
- Go to Settings in your Arrow Android app.
- Select General.
-
In the Autofill section, select Autofill in browsers. You'll only see this option if you have Chrome version 135 or later.
- On the Autofill in browsers screen, turn on Google Chrome. You'll be taken to the autofill settings of your Chrome app.
- Select Autofill using another service.
- In the pop-up, select Restart Chrome.
Brave
If you use Brave version 1.81.135 or later, you need to take an extra step to use Arrow for autofill on Brave.
How do I know what version of Brave I have?
- Go to Settings in your Arrow Android app.
- Select General.
-
In the Autofill section, select Autofill in browsers. You'll only see this option if you have Brave version 1.81.135 or later.
- On the Autofill in browsers screen, turn on Brave. You'll be taken to the autofill settings of your Brave app.
- Select Autofill using another service.
- In the pop-up, select Restart Brave.
Use Autofill on Android
If you've set up Autofill on your Arrow Android device, you'll see the Autofill options whenever you log in to an app or website or open a payment or personal information form in an app or browser.
If you have Keyboard Autofill turned on in the latest versions of Android, you'll see the Autofill options at the top of your keyboard. Otherwise, you'll see them in a dropdown when you click the field you want to autofill.
If you don't see the item you want to autofill, you can select a different item. For logins, but not other types of data, you can also create a new item right from the Autofill menu.
Create a new login using Autofill on Android
If Arrow doesn't have any logins saved for the website you're on, or you want to add a new account for that site, you can create a new login directly in the Autofill options without opening the Arrow app.
Select Add new login, enter the information for your login, and select Save. Arrow autofills your information for you right away.
Pause Autofill for an app or website on Android
If you've turned off the Keyboard Autofill setting, you can pause Autofill for an app or website.
- Make sure you have Keyboard Autofill turned off in the General section of your Arrow Settings.
- Click a field in the form of the app or website where you want to pause Autofill and select Pause.
- Choose whether to pause For 1 hour, For 1 day, or Until I turn it back on. You can unpause Autofill anytime in your Arrow settings.
Turn Autofill back on for a paused app or website on Android
- Go to Settings in your Arrow app and select General.
- Select Paused Autofill. You'll see currently paused apps. For apps you've paused temporarily, you'll also see the time remaining before they unpause automatically. If you haven't paused any apps, you'll see a message that says, "Nothing here yet."
- Select Resume for the app or website you want to unpause.
Ask Arrow to autofill a different login for an app or website on Android
If Arrow isn't showing the correct login in the Autofill options for an app or website, you can search your Arrow vault and select the correct login. When you select a login from your vault, Arrow memorizes the choice. The next time you try to autofill information for that app or website, we'll propose the data you previously selected.
To ask Arrow to Autofill a different item, select View all logins and select a login from the list. If you don't see the login you want, search your logins using the search bar.
If you ask Arrow to autofill the wrong login, you can correct the mistake anytime.
- Open the login in Arrow.
- Select Manage X linked services. You'll see a list of websites and apps linked with this login in your Arrow account.
- Select the pencil icon. A trashcan icon appears beside any websites or apps you've added manually.
- Select the trashcan icon for the website or app you want to remove. The website or app disappears from the list.
- Select the checkmark icon to save your changes.
Copy and paste if you're having trouble autofilling information on Android
If Autofill isn't working, you can open the Arrow app, copy the information you need, and paste the info to the website or app.
If you're using Android 10 or later, you can make this process easier by turning on the setting Copy and paste notification. With this setting, you can quickly access and copy all information related to an item from your device's notification bar.
- Go to Settings in your Arrow app and select General.
- Select General notifications and make sure you've selected Allow notifications for Arrow.
- Then go back to the General section of your Arrow settings and turn on Copy and paste notification.
When you copy an item in Arrow with this setting turned on, you get a push notification that contains all the information for the item. You can go to the app or website where you want to use the item and copy and paste the information you need directly from the push notification without going back to the Arrow app.
If you've copied and pasted information from the Arrow app, the information stays on the device's clipboard. If you want the clipboard to automatically clear its contents after 30 seconds, go to Settings, then Security, and make sure the Clear clipboard setting is turned on.

I got a warning about an "Unverified login." What do I do?
When an app wasn't developed in a way that lets Arrow identify fields for Autofill, an "Unverified login" warning pops up. If you're a developer for an app with this issue, follow the Google Digital Asset Links Getting Started Guide to fix it.
Google Digital Asset Links Getting Started Guide
The warning pops up when you attempt to autofill an app where the login information wasn't saved into your Arrow account using the new autofill API.
The autofill API on Android allows you to capture login information from an app when you manually log in and save it into your Arrow account. If you do so, Arrow will verify the app, and you'll always be able to log in using the Autofill API.
On the other hand, if the information wasn't captured by the Autofill API, you get this warning when using apps not developed to be immediately recognizable to Arrow.
You can use two methods to get rid of this warning:
-
Contact the other app's developers so that they can add Arrow to their "allow list."
- Delete the login information from your Arrow account and log in to this app manually so that the autofill API can capture the data and save it in Arrow again.
Note: If the app login happens on two screens—a screen for you to enter your login only, then another to enter your password—then you, unfortunately, must contact the app's developers.
Why do I see a message that says "blocked by work policy" when I try to turn on Autofill?
You're seeing this message because of a security update that was introduced with Android 14. To protect company data, this update automatically blocks password managers like Arrow on work phones and tablets by default.
Contact your organization's IT department, and ask them to update their settings to approve Arrow for autofill.
