With our Arrow apps, you can manage and access your logins and personal data wherever you are. You can use Arrow on your Apple iPhone, iPad, and computer with the macOS app and Arrow Smart Extension for Safari.
Although you can access Arrow on VisionOS, Autofill isn’t available, and we don’t currently offer support for this device.

What does the Arrow app look like on each Apple device?
Each iPhone, iPad, or browser and computer you use is considered a "device." For example, if you have Arrow installed on your iPhone, your laptop on Chrome, and on your iPad, you have three devices. If you also add Arrow to Firefox on your laptop, then you have four devices.

Arrow app on the iPhone
You won't use an extension with the Arrow app on the iPhone. An extension—also called a plug-in or an add-on—is a small program you download to add features to your computer browser. When you use Arrow in your Chrome or Firefox browser, you need an extension. You don't need an extension on your phone because everything you need is contained in the Arrow app.
On the Arrow login screen, select Log in if you're an existing customer. Select Get started if you're a new customer to go through our onboarding steps. Our onboarding steps help you set up your account and begin using Autofill.

Arrow app on macOS
The Arrow macOS app opens in its own window on your computer desktop, instead of in a browser tab. The macOS app is available for macOS computers and works independently of the Arrow Smart Extension for Safari. The macOS app and Safari extension are installed together from the App Store. You can use the macOS app alongside the Safari extension if you choose.
More about the macOS app and the Arrow Smart Extension for Safari
The Arrow macOS app allows you to access your saved data and several features. Even though you may have the macOS app installed on your computer, due to Apple limitations, you need the Arrow Smart Extension for Safari for Autofill to work in your browser. The extension incorporates all the recent Autofill improvements available on Chrome and Firefox while still providing an Apple-native experience.
Features available in each app
You'll find that the Arrow macOS app workflows are similar to the workflows when you use the Arrow app on the iPad. Open the Arrow macOS app from your computer's Applications folder, the Launchpad, or from the dock if you moved it.
Example of the Arrow macOS app appearing on the Launchpad screen. Open Launchpad from the dock and select the Arrow icon to open the macOS app.

Arrow Smart Extension for Safari
When you install the Arrow Smart Extension for Safari, you'll use Arrow on your computer in the Safari browser.
An extension—also called a plug-in or an add-on—is a small program you download to add features to your computer browser. From the extension pop-up, use the shortcuts to open the web app, sync your devices, and access our Help Center. You can also manage your logins and other data, and access Autofill settings and our Password Generator.

The Safari extension and web app work the same way as the extension and web app in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Chromium-based browsers like Opera and Brave. You can use any instructions you find for the extension or the web app when you have the Safari extension installed.

Have Arrow on more than one device?
When you add a login or make other changes to your data in Arrow on one device, you can access your data anywhere else you use Arrow. This process is called "syncing" your data.
If your data isn't syncing properly, check out our solutions and common questions.
If you use Arrow Free, you can access your logins and data on one device at a time. To use a new device, you need to unlink the old one.
How do I switch devices when I have Arrow Free?
Account management
You have several options to keep your account safe and work the way you want. For example, we recommend setting up an account recovery key in case you forget your Master Password or get locked out of your passwordless account. You can also set up biometrics and unlock your app with Face ID or Touch ID, or use a PIN code.
You can also add your logins and Secure Notes to Collections from any Apple device to help organize your vault.
Set up the account recovery key on your Apple device
Important: If you haven't generated a recovery key or lost your recovery key, you won't be able to use this option to regain access to your account.
With Arrow's recovery key, you can regain access to your Arrow account without losing any data if you forget your Master Password or get locked out of your passwordless account. You'll provide your saved recovery key, complete an identity verification step, and recover your account. If you have a Master Password, we'll also ask you to change your password during the recovery process.
Setting up a recovery key isn't required, but the key protects you from being permanently locked out of your account. Think of your recovery key as your emergency key to your vault.
Unlock your Arrow app with biometrics or a PIN code
You can use biometric authentication, which means you can use your Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the Arrow app. You can also unlock Arrow on your Apple device with a PIN code. If you have an account protected by a Master Password, Arrow still asks you to enter your Master Password after restarting your device and from time to time for security reasons.
Unlock the Arrow app with biometrics or a PIN code
Reset your Master Password with biometric recovery
If you've set up Arrow on your Apple device to unlock your account with biometrics like your fingerprint or face, you can also turn on Biometric recovery. Then if you enter the wrong password or fail to authenticate when logging in, Arrow offers you the option to reset your Master Password with biometrics. You have to turn these settings on to be able to use them.
Reset your Master Password with biometrics
Important: Unlock with biometrics isn't a replacement for your Master Password. Even with biometrics and Biometric recovery turned on, we'll ask you to enter your Master Password from time to time.
Add your logins and Secure Notes to Collections to organize your vault
You can create Collections to help organize your logins and Secure Notes in your vault. You can create as many Collections as you need and add your logins and Secure Notes to multiple Collections.
Use Universal Clipboard to copy and paste between your Apple devices
With Universal Clipboard, you can copy content like text and images on one Apple device and paste the content on another Apple device. For example, you can copy a password or credit card info from Arrow on your iPhone and paste it into a form field on your Mac.
You can turn this setting on in your Arrow app. However, first, you need to follow the Apple website instructions and check their minimum requirements.
Example: On the Arrow app for the iPhone, select Settings in the bottom menu, then select General, and turn on Universal Clipboard.
