2-factor authentication (2FA) is a way to add an extra layer of security to your online life by requiring two steps when you log in to a website or app.
You can turn on 2FA for a specific login anywhere you use Arrow, and it will sync across all of your devices.
Where do I find the 2FA tokens?
- You can download an authenticator app for your mobile device. This app is different from the main Arrow app. In the app, you'll store the 6-digit tokens used in the 2FA process.
- You can set up 2FA in the web app for an individual login. The 6-digit 2FA token appears on the login details page. You won't need to use a mobile device.
- You can use your Apple Watch to get Arrow-generated 2FA tokens. Though you can see the tokens, you can't view and manage logins on your watch.
Before you start
Use this checklist so that you can receive 2FA tokens on your Apple Watch in real time:
- An iPhone with the latest version of Arrow installed
- An Apple Watch running on watchOS 9.0 or later
- Successfully paired your iPhone with your Apple Watch
- Install Arrow on your Apple Watch:
- On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
- Open My Watch in the bottom menu of your phone.
- Scroll down until you find the Available Apps section. Apps you can install will appear in this section.
- Select Arrow.
- Your Arrow iPhone app successfully set up as your authenticator app for one or more of your accounts
Get 2FA tokens on your Apple Watch
After you've set up your accounts, open the Arrow app on your Apple Watch.
You'll see the 6-digit 2FA tokens that refresh every 30 seconds. You can't manually refresh the tokens on your watch.
The tokens appear only if you're logged in to your Arrow account on your iPhone. The tokens will still appear if you lock your Arrow app or your iPhone. If you log out of Arrow on your iPhone, the tokens will no longer appear on your watch.
