Manage the devices you've added to Arrow – Zendesk for Arrow Electronics

When you use Arrow for the first time on a new device, we ask you to take an extra step to confirm that you're the person logging in. In addition to entering your Master Password, you'll use an email verification code, a 2-factor authentication (2FA) token, or in some cases, a QR code to prove that the device belongs to you. We sometimes call this step "authenticating" your device or adding an "authorized device."

After you log in on a device for the first time, we add the phone, tablet, or browser you’re using to a list of devices connected to your account. The next time you log in to Arrow on that device, you skip the authorization step. Instead, you'll enter your Master Password directly or use your face, fingerprint, or PIN code to access your account, depending on your settings.

You can view and manage the devices connected to your account in any Arrow app and check when each device was added and last used. You can also remove any device from the list of devices connected to your account. After you remove a device or "revoke access," you'll have to complete the authorization step the next time you log in to Arrow on that device.

Tip: Revoking access is a good idea if you logged in on someone else's device or a device you no longer use.

Manage your devices in the web app

In the Arrow web app on your computer, you can view and manage the devices connected to your Arrow account. Select the My account menu, Settings, and Manage activity. You can see when each device was added, last used, and updated.

If you're using Arrow in different browsers on the same computer, you need to add each browser separately. Each device is named for the phone, iPad, or browser and computer you're using. For example, Chrome - Mac OS or Firefox - Windows. You can also rename a device. Select the device and enter a new name.

On your Android app, you can view and manage the devices connected to your Arrow account. Select the Settings menu, Security, and Manage activity. When you select a device, you can see when the device was added, last used, and updated.

On your iPhone, iPad, and macOS app, you can view and manage the devices connected to your Arrow account. You won't use an extension when you use Arrow on one of these Apple devices. Everything you need is contained in the app.

To manage devices connected to your account on your iPhone app, select Settings in the bottom menu, Security, and Manage activity. You can see when each device was added, last used, and updated.

Each device is named for the phone, iPad, or browser and computer you're using. For example, Chrome - Mac OS or Firefox - Windows. You can also rename a device. Select the device and then select Rename.

To manage devices connected to your account on your iPad or macOS app, select the gear icon above the left menu, Security, and Manage activity. You can see when each device was added, last used, and updated.

Tip: When you select a device on the iPad, you may need to hold the title for a few seconds before the menu appears.

Remove devices you've added to Arrow

You can remove any device from the list of devices connected to your account. We also call removing a device "revoking access." When you revoke access to a device, your data is removed from that device. You can log back in on the device anytime by completing the steps for adding a new device.

Use Arrow on a new device

You can't remove the device you're currently using. You won't have the option to do so. If you want to remove the device, you need to log in to Arrow on another device.

Select the X next to the device you want to remove.
Select De-authorize.

You can log back in if you want to use the device again after revoking access. You'll be asked to complete an extra step in addition to entering your Master Password, just like when you use Arrow on a new device.

Select the Settings menu, Security, and Manage activity.
Select the device you want to remove.
In the pop-up that appears, select Remove device.

If you want to use the device again after revoking access, you can log back in. You'll be asked to complete an extra step in addition to entering your Master Password, just like when you use Arrow on a new device.

Remove a device on your Apple device

On your iPhone, iPad, and macOS app, you can remove devices connected to your Arrow account. You won't use an extension when you use Arrow on one of these Apple devices. Everything you need is contained in the app.

Remove a device connected to your account on your iPhone app

Select the Settings menu, Security, and Manage activity.
Select the device you want to remove.
In the pop-up that appears, select Remove. On earlier versions, you can also swipe the device name and select Delete.

Remove a device connected to your account on your iPad or macOS app

On your iPad or macOS app, select the gear icon above the left menu, Security, and Manage activity.
On the Manage activity screen, select Edit in the upper-right corner.
Select the devices you want to remove and then select the trash icon in the bottom-right corner.
In the pop-up, select Remove and then select Done in the upper-right corner. On earlier versions, select Deactivate.

Common questions

How do I know which devices are connected to my account?

You can view your devices and see when each was added to your account and last used in any Arrow app. You'll see a globe for browsers, an Android icon for Android mobile devices, and an Apple icon for the iPhone, iPad, and the Arrow macOS app.

Tip: You can rename your devices in the web app or on any Apple device.

What if I don't want a device to be connected to my account?

You can remove any device from your list of added devices, a process called "revoking access." When you revoke access to a device, your data is removed from that device. The next time you log in to Arrow on that device, you'll need to use an email verification code, 2FA token, or QR code in addition to your Master Password.

You can't remove the device you're currently using. You won't have the option to do so. If you want to remove your device, you need to log in to Arrow on another device.

For security and privacy reasons, Arrow automatically removes devices that have been inactive for more than one year. If you want to use those devices again, log back in. You'll be asked to complete an extra step in addition to entering your Master Password, just like when you use Arrow on a new device.

I received an email saying I added a new device, but I don't remember adding it. What do I do?

We notify you by email when you add a new device. If you don't remember logging in on a new device, keep in mind that we send emails saying you've added a new device in these situations:

When you use Arrow on the same device but in a new browser
After you clear your browser's cache or delete your cookies and log in again
After you reinstall Arrow

If you're still worried about the email you received, you can take steps to secure your account. You can revoke access to a device, change your Master Password, or turn on 2-factor authentication (2FA).
